10-Day Highlights of Egypt and Jordan

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo, Airport Transfer and Free Day

Arrive any day in Cairo. Upon your arrival in Cairo, you will be met with our company representative in the airport’s arrivals area who will be holding a signboard with your name on it. After meet and greet, you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel in Cairo. Rest of the day will be at leisure.

Day 2: Full-Day Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum Excursion

After breakfast, at around 8:00 am, you will be accompanied by your personal guide to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Pyramid of Chephren, and Pyramid of Menkaure, along with the famous Sphinx and Giza Valley Temple. Next, you will head out to the Egyptian Museum, where the treasures of the boy king Tutankhamen await you. You will then go to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue followed by a short drive to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar which is Cairo’s oldest and most alluring bazaar. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo, with the rest of the day free to relax or explore at your leisure.

Day 3: Fly from Cairo to Aswan – Nile Cruise

In the morning, check out of your hotel. You will be picked up and transferred to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, a private car will be waiting to escort you to your cruise boat for check-in.

After lunch on board, begin your tour of Aswan’s key attractions. Visit the High Dam, the Temple of Philae on Isis Island, the Granite Quarries, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Enjoy a delightful dinner aboard your cruise ship and spend your first night on the Nile under a starlit sky.

Day 4: Sail to Kom Ombo – Edfu – Esna

Breakfast on board. Sail to Kom Ombo, visit the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, the center of worship for the god Sobek, the Crocodile god. Overlooking the River Nile, the Temple of Kom Ombo is unique as it comprises two distinct temples; one dedicated to Sobek and the other to Haroeris. Sail to Edfu, and visit the Temple of Edfu, located almost halfway between Luxor and Aswan. This Temple is the best-preserved example of a temple from the Ptolemaic period in Egypt. Continue sailing to Esna.

Optional Tour: On this day, you have the option to join a group tour to the Abu Simbel Temples. This is not included in the standard package and will require an additional payment of USD 150 per person (pp). Early morning pickup for this tour is around 3:40 AM.

Day 5: Sail to Luxor with West Bank Tour

Breakfast on board. Early sail to Luxor. Visit the City of the Dead in the West Bank, and view the Valley of the Kings; the most significant tomb in the Valley of the Kings is that of Tutankhamun, which was discovered intact by Howard Carter in 1922. The tombs are known for their colorful wall paintings depicting mortuary scenes of ancient Egypt. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built more than 3500 years ago; the temple stands out with its magnificent location at the base of one of the Theban Mountains, its imposing terraces, and architectural features like the chambers of Anubis.

Day 6: East Bank with Visit to Karnak Temple – Fly to Cairo

Breakfast on board, followed by disembarkation at 8:00 am. Enjoy a guided tour of the East Bank, including the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luxor. Later, you will be transferred to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met, assisted, and escorted by our representative to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 7: Fly from Cairo to Amman (Flight Not Included) — Leisure Time

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport according to your flight details to board your international flight to Amman. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Amman for check-in. The remainder of the day is free for leisure.

Note: Please arrange and purchase your own international flight ticket(s) from Cairo to Amman. International flights are not included in the cost of this package tour and will not be provided by us.

Day 8: Float on the Waters of the Dead Sea

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver and taken to Jerash, known as one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the Middle East. Explore the spectacular forum, the typical colonnaded Roman streets, the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis. After exploring, transfer back to your vehicle and head to the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea. Enjoy the scenic views and seize the opportunity to bathe and experience the unique sensation of floating in the salty waters. Later, transfer back to your hotel in Amman for the night.

Day 9: Explore Petra’s Iconic Treasury

After your breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel for a day of exploration in Petra, famously known as the “Rose City”. This archaeological treasure, Jordan’s premier attraction, was initially established in the 6th century BC by the Nabataean Arabs, who built a vast commercial empire. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a horseback ride through the Siq, a dramatic narrow gorge that opens up to Petra’s most stunning monument: the Treasury. Continue on foot to discover the Street of Facades, the imposing Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh’s Castle. After a day filled with awe-inspiring sights, your private driver will ensure your comfortable return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 10: Departure from Amman – End of Tour Service

After having breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Amman (hotel check-out is before 12:00 noon). You will then be transferred to the Amman International Airport according to your flight details. This concludes our tour and services.
